A blend of ancient and classical ideas in sculpture.
Experimentation with the impact of environment upon form. The interplay of light upon the three-dimensional is fascinating; the interplay of shadow and light the purest expression for form.
Let go sadness
This piece is the result of ongoing experimentation with raw materials and juxtaposition of light and shadow.
A simplicity in the interaction of media activates form; seemingly broken yet forward moving.
As artists in the world we are encouraged to educate the viewer about our art so that they may more fully appreciate our work. However, I prefer to let my work speak to the viewer without too much direction. The experience of art is a personal encounter with the work that is impacted by a set of influences unique to the viewer. My art is evocative and the desire is to allow the experience to unfold organically for the viewer.
Silent warrior . . . indomitable spirit . . .
Metaphor for moving out of present circumstances to embrace the gift of grace.
Waiting to fly
Out of the shadows . . . ghosts of our past we step into the light of a new day surrendering to a quest for healing . . . sowing the seeds for a future to thrive rather than merely survive. From the ravages of mistrust and misundertanding may there be "forgiveness' embrace".
Symbolism and themes of nature recur throughout my work. I come from the aesthetic view that art is intended to communicate a message or evoke emotion. The narrative exists within each work; however, how the work resonates with the viewer can be as unique as their world view.
First Nations Totem

Wrapped in thought
Experimentation with clay.
A mimbre inspired ceramic bowl becomes a symbolic vessel for modern life.
